The nationally-ranked Cowley College volleyball team will host several camps and clinics over late spring and summer in 2020. These include a Setter/Hitter camp on June 13, June 20, and July 18 (this is the same camp on three dates to accommodate those who missed the original April 25 camp), a High School camp July 29 and 30, an Elite High School camp July 31, and satellite camps for the months of June, and July. The 2020 camps will be directed by the Cowley College coaching staff.

Setter/Hitter Clinic – June 13, June 20, or July 18 (pick a date that suits you)

This camp is for athletes who are learning the advanced skills of setting and hitting.

Athletes will be taught the correct basic skills for a setter/hitter to succeed. The skills will be broken down into correct footwork, arm swing, hand positions, and set placement. The athlete will receive five hours of instruction. This camp is recommended for grades 9-12. The camp will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. five hours of instruction for the cost of $85.

High School Camp - July 29 & 30

This camp is designed for 9th-12th graders and will cover all aspects of the game. The two-day camp will cover the understanding of rotations, general volleyball rules, passing, setting, serving, and hitting mechanics. Each day is five hours and the cost is $90 for two days or $45 per day. Time of camp - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

High School Elite Camp - July 31

This camp offers comprehensive instruction for athletes who wish to do more advanced training with a desire to compete at the collegiate level. The following areas will be instructed: skills development, offensive and defensive team systems, specialized position instruction and, if numbers allow, intrasquad play. Six hours of instruction for the cost of $100. Campers are to have a ride for lunch or bring their own sack lunch. TIMES: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM & 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Satellite Camps - June, or July

If your summer schedule does not allow you and your team to travel to our “on campus” camps/clinics, you can bring the volleyball camp to you. We can come to your school and provide a 1, 2, or 3-day camp at your gym. You supply the net(s), the balls, and a minimum of 10 campers. Camp instruction is based on what you the coach need for your program - individual skills, position specific skills, team concepts, etc. Dates will fill up fast. All campers will need to bring workout gear and athletic shoes. All on campus clinic sessions will be held in W.S. Scott Auditorium. All sessions are open to family and friends to watch. All camps/clinics and the tournament must be paid in full prior to the start of the camp/clinic and tournament.
