Viewing is open to the public on Thursday, September 15th, 2022, from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM at Trout Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Friday, September 16th, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Newkirk. Burial will follow at Newkirk Cemetery. Edna Jane “Durbin” Lowater

Edna Jane Lowater, 68, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on September 6, 2022. Edna Jane was born on October 3, 1954, to Kellie and Freda Durbin. She grew up and attended school in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Later, Jane would marry Leo Lowater and settle in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. They had one son, Christopher Neal Lowater of the home. Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Fred. Jane is survived by her son, Chris, three granddaughters, Myah, Raven, and Taylor of Broken Arrow, her two sisters, Linda and Candi of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, and two brothers, Joe and Larry Durbin. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the Sunset Baptist Church, 915 W. Greenwood Ave, Ponca City, OK, with Reverend Russ Aday officiating. Rose Ovelta Hawkins

Rose Ovelta Hawkins, 90, gained her angel wings September 6, 2022. Rose was born in Ralston, Oklahoma on July 26, 1932, to Bert and Nina Taylor. She attended Elementary and High School in Kaw City where she graduated with honors as the class Salutatorian in 1950. During her time there she worked in the school library for five years, was nominated for and went to All State for the American Legion for Girls. Rose continued her education at a business school in Denver, Colorado. After she completed her education she married Glenn Hawkins on November 28, 1953, and they made their home in Apperson, Oklahoma.

David F. Neece

David F. Neece, a Marine Corps Corporal and Vietnam Veteran, passed away August 21st, at 5:20 PM. David was born January 2nd, 1948, he was 74. David Neece left us at Integris Baptist hospital in Oklahoma City due to extensive medical conditions. David resided in the small town of Ponca City. He is survived by his biological sons, Jason, Justin and Jeremy Neece. David also has six surviving grandchildren, Austin, Jayme, Breighanne, Madeline, Amber, and Savannah. There are no scheduled services, and David’s remains will be set to rest at the Omaha Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Nebraska.
