John ‘Scott’ Dalton, age 79, of Bernice, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in Grove, Oklahoma. Scott was born on June 25, 1943, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Francis and Esther (Nelson) Dalton. Scott graduated from College High School in Bartlesville and went on to attain a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Oklahoma State University. He was employed as a Chemical Engineer at Conoco in Bartlesville for many years before his retirement. He married his wife, Terri, in 1964 and the couple moved to Bernice 12 years ago. Not one to sit idle, fishing was not enthusiastic enough for Scott, but he did love the waters of Grand Lake and water skiing was one of his favorite pastimes. He was normally a quiet, studious man, but as an avid Kansas City Chiefs supporter, he could certainly get excited watching a Chiefs game. Hunting was another outdoor sport he thoroughly enjoyed. Scott was preceded in death by his parents and son David Dalton. He is survived by his beloved wife Terri and grandson Gregory Dalton. No services are planned at this time.
