Karen Sue Rhoades

Karen Sue Rhoades, our precious wife, mother, grandmother, and sister joined her parents in heaven on November 4, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. Karen was born in Ponca City, OK on May 23, 1952, to Clyde & Freda (Benoit) Hodges. Karen’s early childhood years were spent in Ponca City, OK then the family moved to Fort Morgan, CO. Karen’s father worked in the oilfield and moved the family to Gillett, WY, then they moved to Goodland, KS. At the age of 16, Karen moved back Ponca City with her family. Karen’s sister, Patty introduced her to the love of her life, Jimmy Rhoades in 1969, after Karen caught Jimmy’s eye while he was cruising Grand in his 1969 Chevy Nova. They were married on January 14th, 1970.

A Rosary Ceremony will be held at Trout funeral home on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 6:30 P.M., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, November, 5, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. Bernard Lee Flaming, retired Firefighter, retired member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard, and resident of Ponca City, OK passed away on October 17, 2022 at the age of 93. He was born on June 25, to Sam and Marie Berg Flaming in Fairview, OK. He attended Fairview Public High School and graduated from Enid Business College. He and the love of his life, Alberta Lucille Regier, were married on September 3, 1950 and resided in Enid, OK where they raised 6 children.

Imogene Mankin Vineyard

Mrs. Imogene Mankin Vineyard, widow of the late Dr. Edwin E. Vineyard, passed away October 19, 2022. Mrs. Vineyard has lived at 3540 Chickadee Lane in Enid since 2000. She and her late husband had lived in Ponca City for ten years following their retirement in 1990 after 25 years as president and first lady of Northern Oklahoma College. Private interment services for family only will be at the cemetery in Red Oak, Oklahoma. At her request, no public ceremony is planned.
