Gerald W. Grimley passed away peacefully on Feb 12, 2022 with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles E. and Opal C. Grimley and siblings Charles Grimley and LaWanda French. Jerry is survived by his wife of 62 years Opal (Beebe, AR) and their two daughters Julia (Grimley) Patterson (Toss) of Sandy Utah and Jill (Grimley) Herrin of Beebe Arkansas. He is also survived by five grandchildren Maddison Weimann (Ryan) of Jacksonville, AR, Cole Grimley of West Palm Beach, FL, Tayler Patterson (Andrew) of Brooklyn, NY, Sarah Patterson of Seattle, WA, and Evie Herrin of Beebe, AR; and one great grandchild, Maycee Hickman of Jacksonville, AR. Jerry is also survived by two siblings: Joyce Smotone and her husband Marvin (Stillwater, OK) and Jeanie Walker and her husband Paul (Edmond, OK) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Frech McKinney Dewan, 86, passed away on Friday, March 18, at Ponca City Hospital. Viewing will be from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will greet friends between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 25, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Don Griffin officiating. Burial will take place at 1:30 PM, Friday, at the Enid Cemetery, Enid, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK 74601.

Francis “Sonny” Everett Sage

Francis “Sonny” Everett Sage, former resident of Ponca City, passed away March 2, 2022 after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Sonny was born in Canandaigua, NY on May 5, 1941, to Francis E. and Marie B. Sage. He graduated from Victor Central School in 1959. Sonny went on to Clarkson College of Technology (now Clarkson University) in Potsdam, NY, graduating with BS, MS & PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering. He was a member of several honorary societies.

Nancy Lee Brown, resident of the McCord Community passed away on Wednesday, March 16,2022 at Stillwater Medical Center at the age of 73. She was born prematurely on February 10,1949 on her brother’s birthday in Bismarck, North Dakota, the daughter of Margaret Mae (Schwartz) Naaden and Burton Tracy Naaden.

Shirley Burgess

On March 15, 2022, Shirley Burgess passed away peacefully at home at the age of 75 after battling colon cancer. She was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Lillie Hall Williams and Vernon Williams. Shirley grew up in Red Rock, Oklahoma and briefly in California while her parents worked in the orchards before returning to Red Rock. Shirley married Curtis “Go Go” Burgess Sr on March 30, 1963, and had two sons, Curtis Burgess Jr., and William “Willie” Burgess. She followed her husband to Colorado while he was a welder and shortly returned to Oklahoma to be closer to family. They lived in Enid, Oklahoma City, and Perry before making Red Rock their final home.
