Sherry Marie Williams went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2020 after a brief illness. Sherry was a beautiful person with a loving and generous nature. She was deeply loved by her family and many friends. She will be missed by all.

She was born on September 27, 1947 in Stillwater, OK to Delbert W. and Joy Marie Fair. Sherry was the third child of six born to this family.

She married Gilson Williams on February 4, 1982 in Edmond, OK. They made their home in the Ardmore area until their retirement in 2003 when they moved to Pawhuska to be close to family.

Sherry was very active in her First United Methodist Church as chairman of the church council, chairman of the Missions Committee, and treasurer of the United Methodist Woman. She was also a Lay Servant in the United Methodist Church and preached several times in the past years. She loved her church and was a generous volunteer in many areas.

Sherry had an active social life where she was a member of GFWC Heeko and United Methodist Woman. She was an avid reader and card player. She belonged to three different bridge clubs and was always eager to fill in for anyone who needed an extra player.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Diana Foy. She is survived by her husband, Gilson Williams, of the home; her son, James Ledbetter of Claremore; step-children Kathleen Williams and partner Ann Eichenberger of Tulsa, Andrew Williams of Memphis, TN, Timothy Williams and partner Jonathan Brown of Tulsa. Also brothers Delbert Wayne Fair and wife Beverly of Ponca City, Kevin Fair and wife Pat of OKC, Nathan Fair of Pratt, KS, and sister Debbie Kelley of Ponca City. Also brother-inlaw David Williams and Sister-in-law Linda Boone and husband Danny of Pawhuska and three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held in Pawhuska with Rev. Brett Thomasson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Boone, Charles Bowers, Shane Whisenhunt, Jim Ledbetter, Nathan Fair and Ron Reed.
