Robert Graham Shuart of Ponca City left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior on December 24, 2022. He was 88. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on January 26, 1934 to parents Freeman Adam Shuart and Hazel Marrietta (Chilson) Shuart.

After high school, Robert worked around and with automobiles his whole life. He started working at the foundry at Pontiac Motor Company as a teenager. he then worked as a tool and die maker. he and his father started their own business, Shuart’s Collision, an automobile repair shop in Pontiac where they repaired and rebuilt cars.

Robert met the love of his life, Barbara Rae Frederick, and they were married on July 30, 1955. They were married for 66 years. Barbara was the daughter of Ray Scott Frederick and Margaret Grace (VanHooser) Frederick. She was a homemaker while her children were young. Barbara later went to work for the local hospital. She became the office manager for Dr. Carter William Matthews. She later worked for the Ponca City Board of Education until her retirement. Barbara went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2022.

Robert and Barbara were members of Blackwell Church of Christ. Robert and his family moved to Oklahoma in 1974. He worked for local car dealerships as a sales associate, sales manager, and was general manager for Rex Kenslow Buick dealership. After retirement, Robert and Barbara enjoyed time traveling and spending time with family.

Robert and Barbara were blessed with five children: Dr. Jeffery Shuart and wife Michelle of Blackwell, Scott Shuart and wife Tera of Edmond, Matthew Shuart and wife Monica of Ponca City, Julie Logan and husband Randal of Ponca City, and Amy Kuehny and husband Jay of Ponca City.

Robert and Barbara were blessed with 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held to celebrate the lives of Robert and Barbara.
