Norman Elwood Humble departed this world to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus

Christ on July 9, 2020. Norman was Born on March 21, 1937 to Jerry Russell and Olga Amanda Humble in Braman, OK. Norman attended Blackwell schools and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1955. Norman was quite the athlete. He lettered in football, wrestling and track. Norman worked at the Flour Mill during the 1955 tornado. He assisted many of the victims after the storm. He married the love of his life, Donna Mae Spencer on Dec. 21, 1956. They celebrated 63 years together. Norman worked at the smelter until 1959 when he joined the US Air Force. He served from 1959 thru 1962 in the radar center in Okinawa, Japan. He finished up his career at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, OK. Airman First Class Humble was extended 6 months during the Cuban Crisis. They moved back to Blackwell for a short time before moving to Ponca City where he began his career working for Conoco as a carpenter for 30 years until his retirement in 1996.

Norman continued to play slow pitch softball until his 56th birthday. Norman coached Liberty flag football for many years. He also coached baseball at the Kids, Inc. field. But his love was being a wrestling coach at the YMCA. He was very honored to be inducted into the Ponca City Wrestling Hall of Fame. Norman loved to coach, he touched numerous lives.

Norman loved fishing, treasure hunting and golfing. But his biggest love was the love that he had for his children, grandchildren and his 5 great granddaughters. He could always out play them.

Norman was a member of the Kay County Treasure Hunters Club, Elks, American Legion and the Blackwell Golf Course. He was a member of the Community

Christian Church for over 50 years. He was a deacon and a member of the choir. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Donna, his sister Virginia Ward, and brother John Wesley, Roger and Roland.

Norman is survive by his brother Ed Humble of Blackwell. His daughter, Katrina

Sinor, RN of Ponca City. His son, Dr Chris A. Humble, DC and his wife Khrystal of

Ponca City. Four grandchildren; Natalie Armstrong of OKC, Derek Sinor of Medford, Dr. Brandon Humble, MD and his wife Wells Audrey of Kansas City, and Karrah Mariyappan and her husband Karthik of Hastings, NE.

Norman has 5 beautiful great granddaughters: Paytyn and Payzlyn Armstrong, Haydn and Hope Sinor , and Charlotte Mariyappan.

His funeral will be Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Community Christian Church. They are asking mask to be wore for the safety of others.

Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. The family wishes to thank the Dr, nurses and staff at Creekside Village, Hospice of North Central Oklahoma and to three very special young ladies, Nichole Sinor, Alyssa Rice and Jackie Barbee.
