Lois Marie (Shaw) Clover, 79, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away on Saturday afternoon, July 11, 2020 at her home surrounded by family.

Cremation will take place and her family will have a private interment at Parker Cemetery followed by a celebration of life service at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Bible Christian Church, 2411 N. 8th St., Arkansas City, KS. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing protocol at the church. A memorial has been established in her name with the American Cancer Society, 236 S Topeka St., Wichita, KS 67202. The service will be streaming live at www.biblechristianchurch.org. Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City is in charge of the arrangements.

Lois Marie was born on July 30, 1940 in Lincoln, Nebraska the daughter of Eldon Edward and Isabelle (Gillespie) Shaw. At a young age her family moved to Silverdale, where she worked as a waitress at the Silverdale Café. She graduated from Arkansas City High School. While in high school, she worked at the A&W, as a carhop. On October 25, 1958, she was united in marriage to John Frederick “Fred” Austin. The couple had four children, Debi, Wayne, Kenny and Kevin. Lois has several other jobs such as, John Williams Accounting and working at Central Plains Books. On October 18, 1996, Fred preceded her in death. On May 31st, 2010, she was united in marriage to Jacob “Jake” Clover. She enjoyed her time as a homemaker, she enjoyed crafts, antiques, china painting, decorating for every occasion and holidays and traveling to Branson, MO. She attended the Bible Christian Church and the Ponca City Church of Christ. She has two granddaughters whom she cared for deeply, Chantelle Parker and Amber Austin. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Her family includes: her husband, Jake of the home; her children, Debi Hilderbrandt and husband Larry of Arkansas City, Kenny Austin of Silverdale, KS; Kevin Austin and wife Cami of Arkansas City; brothers, Boyd McGlasson and wife Marilyn of Topeka, KS; Lloyd McGlasson and wife Connie of Utah; her step-children, Danice Sweet and husband Chet of Arkansas City and Dayna Gibson of Arkansas City; her numerous, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Izzy and Eldon, first husband, Fred and her son, Wayne Austin.
