Private family services are planned to celebrate and remember the life of Linda S. Clinton. Linda passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in Ponca City, OK. She was 75.

Linda was born in Long Beach, California on February 7, 1946 to Lawrence F. and Letha F. (Lawson) Koechel. Not long after Linda’s, birth the family moved to Inola, Oklahoma. It was there that she was raised and educated, graduating from Inola Public Schools. On December 17, 1971, in Inola, Linda married the love of her life, Alfred “Al” Clinton. Their union was gifted with three children, David, Kenneth and Catherine “Catey.” Linda helped provide for her family working for several different companies. She even taught piano lessons and at one time had over 40 students.

Linda excelled at being a wife and mother. Many would say she was the one that kept all the wheels turning. She loved her family and the times they were all together were the times Linda had her biggest smile. She was very close to her sister Phyllis and her family. In fact, Linda and Al looked up to and considered Phyllis and her husband John to be more like parents to them. Linda and husband Al enjoyed travel. Trips to Colorado especially Estes Park were a favorite destination for them. They enjoyed trips to Branson with sister Phyllis and her husband John as well.

A lady that had a wide variety of interests and hobbies, Linda was an avid “junker” or as some would say collector of vintage wares. She had booths at numerous antique malls and Linda did her best to keep them full of antiques. She enjoyed camping at lake Oologah with family as well as boating. No story about Linda would be complete unless you mentioned her Jack Russell dogs, Lizzie, Pedro and Samson. They, like her, had a bit of an attitude.

This wife, mother, sister and aunt will be missed by all who knew her. Linda is survived by her husband of 49 years, Al, children, David Clinton, Kenneth Clinton and Catherine “Catey” Lufkin and husband Dan, grandchildren, Lilly and Layton and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Phyllis.
