Lewis Frank Schauf Jr., 56, a longtime Ponca City resident, lost his year-long battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. At the time of his death he was under Hospice care at Wellington Health and Rehab Center in Wellington, Kan.

Frank was born on March 13, 1964, in Ponca City, OK to Frank and Eloise (Primeaux) Schauf Sr. His early years were in Ponca City and Fairfield, CA. After returning to Ponca City, he attended West Junior High and Ponca City High School, graduating in 1982. He also attended NOC in Tonkawa.

He worked many years for his father, as well as other companies. At the time of his illness he was employed at Creekstone Farms in Arkansas City, Kan.

He is preceded in death by his mother Eloise Yback, stepfather Arthur Yback, his grandparents Lewis (Red) and Katy Schauf, Emitt and Isabelle Primeaux and his uncle Johnie Schauf.

He is survived by Dawn Jordan, his mate of 20 years and other of their children Gabrielle and Robert (Bobby) Schauf of Arkansas City, KS; his father and step-mother Frank and Marla Schauf Sr. of Ponca City, step-sisters Lisa Andrews and Tina LaBlue of Tonkawa, step-brothers Jim Toothman of Glenpool, OK and Mike Toothman of Tonkawa; an aunt, Connie Farnam of Ponca City, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. At his request there will be no funeral services. The family will have a gathering at a later date to celebrate his life.
