Field Day for Ham Radio

The Kay County Amateur Radio Club (KCARC) held its annual “Summer Field Day” on June 24, 2023. This was the first time that the event was held at the VFW Post 1201, Building at 2821 East Prospect. There were four setups broadcasting using various modes from phone to CW (Morse Code) and digital. An unsuccessful attempt was made to connect to the International Space Station, but we were not set up in time to make contact. The setup for this event started at 10:00 am and the broadcast began at 12:00 noon and went until 5:30 pm when the equipment was disassembled and packed away. During the operation we made a total of 266 contacts all over the world.

(Oklahoma City) – The Oklahoma State Election Board has launched its new Online Voter Registration System, State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax (pronounced ZEER’-iks) announced. The new online system allows individuals to complete and submit a Voter Registration Application electronically following a match of data from the applicant’s Oklahoma Driver License or State Identification Card.

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is a non-profit membership organization serving economic developers. With more than 5,000 members, IEDC is the largest organization of its kind.
