Yellen tells European officials Biden will ‘fight’ for Ukraine aid

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen urged a gathering of European finance chiefs to move ahead with plans for €50 billion ($52.4 billion) in fresh aid to Ukraine while pledging the White House, and a majority in Congress, will “fight” to provide new U.S. assistance for the embattled Eastern European nation.

Class of 1983 raises funds for local nonprofits

Last month, the Ponca City High School graduating class of 1983 celebrated their 40th reunion by giving back to the community. In Oct. of 2022 the class of ’83 40th Reunion Planning Committee began meeting to decide what they were going to do for the big celebration. According to committee member Lisa Reichert, they decided nearly immediately that they felt that they needed to Pay it Forward to the citizens of Ponca City.

George Santos could join list of Confederates, felons booted from Congress. What to know

A group of House Republicans introduced a resolution to expel embattled New York Rep. George Santos from Congress. If their scheme is successful, Santos would join a short list of Confederates and convicted felons who have been drummed out of the Capitol over the past two centuries.
