Upcoming Halloween events

A couple of Trunk and Treat events will be happening next week on Thursday, Oct. 29th in Ponca City. These community wide drive-through events will allow the public and the kids in our area to be socially distant, safe and still be able to enjoy Halloween.

Heather Cannon Honda , located at 3415 N. 14th St., will be hosting their Trunk and Treat event from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29th.

Participating businesses include the Recplex, Wheeler Insurance, Dorada Foods, Gamemasters Guild, Stolhand-Wells, Tyndal Dentistry, Coldwell Banker Heritage Realtors and Banana Crate.

Other businesses also participating include Ponca Beauty College, Stuteville Ford, Osage Casino, Ambucs, Landmark Cancer Center, Phillips 66 Ponca City, PC Concrete, Pioneer Tech, Creekside Village Assisted Living, Brace Books and More, Walmart, Fungi Phone Guy, Pioneer Technology Center Children’s Lab and Preschool, Pioneer Technology Center Business and Industry Services and First National Bank of Oklahoma.

This is a drive-through event and plenty of candy will be readily available. Please enter the parking lot at the 14th street entrance and make your way through the parking lot. You will follow traffic through, get candy from all participating businesses and exit on the North side of the dealership.

Another Trunk or Treat event that will also take place on Thursday, Oct. 29th will be happening at the Marland Children’s Home and is in conjunction with the Survivor’s Resource Network.

Shrieks and Treats also has many local businesses that will be set up and handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. This event is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and is located at 1300 Summers Place.

The agencies participating in the Shrieks and Treats community drivethrough event include Marland’s Place, Survivor’s Resource Network, Ponca Tribe, United Way, Ponca City News, Family Resource Program(NOYS), CASA, Otoe-Missouria Tribe, Fairfax Medical, Tonkawa Tribe and Kaw Nation.

Both of these events are such a great way to remain safe and socially distant, but still be able to get the kids out, go trick-or-treating and enjoy some Halloween festivities.
