With the close of summer, the local waterpark, Sun ’N Fun is getting ready for the end of their season. For many years, the citizens of Ponca City have looked to this 9 acre waterpark for entertainment, family bonding, and a way to beat the heat and with the temperatures being so high this summer, the citizens have needed the waterpark.

Between the four different waterslides, including the famous Challenger seen above, Wave Pool, Kiddie Cove, and a favorite of the adults, the Lazy River, they have many different choices for fun. That’s not all, they have bumper boats and gokarts as well. They made Kiddie Cove as a precaution to make sure their youngest patrons are safe and comfortable. Because of that it is specially designed for the smaller children from 6-years-old and under, while the older kids can enjoy the more age appropriate rides. So that you don’t have to miss out on the fun for lunch, they have a full snack bar as well.

Unfortunately, this summer heat has been hard on Sun ’N Fun’s equipment and especially their tubes. Whilethey have fixed the Challenger conveyor belt and every other issue, their tubes have fared much worse. They have popped in the heat and the people of Sun ’N Fun are asking customers to bring in their own tubes for the rest of the week. They hope to see many of the citizens of Ponca City for their final week of the season.
