Following an evening of high winds up to 70 miles per hour, power lines, branches and, in some cases, even entire trees had fallen in the area around Lake Road at around approximately 4 am on Friday, June 10.

Ponca City Energy crews worked throughout the day to make repairs to the electrical systems. Around 670 home were without power including 145 in the Cleary/Hillcrest area, 314 in the Rosedale/Golden Rod, the LA Cann area, and 211 scattered around Ponca City.

City crews set up barriers and closed areas on Lake Road between Kygar Road and 14th street while the crews worked to conduct repairs and remove tree debris.
