FLY-IN BREAKFAST The Ponca City Aviation Booster Club will hold their monthly fly-in breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The breakfast is sponsored by the Ponca City Aviation Foundation, and the club works to try and get people, both young and old, interested in aviation and the airport.

The breakfast is held on the first Saturday of each month and the menu is a traditional buffet-style breakfast that includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, hash browns, fresh fruit, coffee and orange juice. Charge for the breakfast is $8 for adults and $4 for children. The breakfast menu will include: scrambled eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, sausage, bacon, hash browns, fresh fruit, coffee and orange juice. Soda or bottle water is $1 extra.

The airport is located at 2213 North Waverly Street in Ponca City.

UTILITY ASSISTANCE STILL AVAILABLE The City of Ponca City, in partnership with NERA (New Emergency Resource Agency), was approved for the Utility Assistance grant program made available by the CDBG CARES ACT through the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. This program aids income eligible residents who reside within the city limits of Ponca City and are delinquent on their utilities. All potential applicants must have incomes at or below HUD’s Income Guidelines for Kay County to be eligible for this program. Persons may apply for the Utility Assistance Program by completing application forms at NERA, located at 112 South First Street. Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received and grant funds are expended on a first-come first-served basis until the grant has been depleted. VALENTINE SALAD LUNCHEON

A Valentine Salad Luncheon featuring hot chicken salad and other assorted side salads will be hosted on February 10, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm. The luncheon will take place in First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, First Lutheran Church and School, 1104 N 4th St. in Ponca City.

Tickets are available in the church office or school office, or at the door on the day of the event.

Adults are $10, children are $5. All proceeds go to the Women’s Guild for Kitchen Improvements.
