The first of several session in a new seminar series was held on Monday, March 20 at the First Christian Church located at 210 N. 5th Street. This seminar series will be discussing a variety of topics from memory and brain health, loneliness, poverty, meaning and productivity in later life, and more. Monday afternoon’s session was over A Framework for Understanding Poverty, this session was compiled from the book by Ruby K. Payne, Ph.D. The presentation was provided by Bob Corbin (pictured). A session on productivity in later life was held on Tuesday, March 21. These session meet for roughly an hour from 4 pm to 5 pm with each topic running weekly for small groups. Despite its location, the seminars do not have a religious focus, but instead come from a place of sharing helpful information with the community.
