Here are the plans for Ponca City and the surrounding areas are responding to limb clean up efforts.

Ponca City - Crews from across the City of Ponca City Departments are working to remove debris from streets and alleys. To report debris, call the non-emergency Street Department phone number: 580-767-0409. For emergencies, call 911.

There are two tree debris only collection sites provided by the City of Ponca City located at Dan Moran Park, 1117 W. South Avenue and Unity Gym, 1908 E. Woodland Road. Tree limbs must be cut into sections no longer than eight feet and tree limbs must be placed within the designated orange safety fenced area.

The City of Ponca City will collect residential tree debris only. Tree limbs must be cut into sections no longer than 8 feet. The tree limbs must be placed at the curb (not in the street) and away from obstructions like poles, mail boxes, overhead wires, trees and irrigation systems. Do not place tree debris in alleyways, so alleyways are not blocked for utility access.

Tree limbs must be placed at the curb before Monday, Nov. 23 to be collected. Crews will only make one pass through a neighborhood to collect debris, so it must be at the curb when they arrive. Crews will only pick up tree debris located at the curb.

Tonkawa - There are two methods of tree and debris removal for citizens in Tonkawa.

Citizens may gather all fallen tree limbs and debris at the curb on their property and not in the roadway. City crews and/or removal services will collect and remove them in the weeks to come at no cost to the resident.

Alternatively, citizens may gather debris upon their property and transport it to the city roll off located south of town by the Animal Control Center/Pound. Dumpsters will be on hand to use and will be used for tree limbs only. No trash will be allowed in these dumpsters during this time. All trash dumping at the city roll off will be suspended until fur ther notice.

Violators who dump any trash, garbage or misuse this arrangement will face prosecution and/or fines.

Newkirk - The city will have two roll offs stationed at the service center for limb disposal. This is an area to take limbs only until the limb site at the country club is opened up on Monday, Nov. 2.

The City of Newkirk asks that limbs be cut as much as possible before being placed in roll offs as to avoid filling them up sooner than they should be.

Wednesday, Nov. 4 is the day that the City of Newkirk will start coming around to pick up limbs from resident’s yards. Limbs need to be cut and no longer than four feet. Limbs need to be stacked and Index placed in the front yard next to the road.

Blackwell - Storm debris collection will be done south of the fairgrounds and at the local dump at East Coolidge. The transfer station on East Coolidge are seeing approximately 100 customers every half-hour. They will be receiving storm debris until andemic 30 minutes before nightfall.

Davis Sanitation are expecting to be caught up on their routes by Saturday, Oct. 31.
