North Central Oklahoma Beekeepers Association will hold their February meeting, Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 6:15 p.m. at the Pioneer Tech Center. All meetings are open to the public.

During the January meeting David Cheek and Dan Bufton discussed hive splits, the when and whys, as well as the different types of splits.

Trish Goodman will discuss Droans during the February meeting. Don’t know what a droan is? Join us Tuesday and learn along with the beekeepers. Questions will be answered and bee topics will be discussed, too.

February brings a lot of excitement to beekeepers. We hope our bees have survived and every warm spell we’re out feeding them sugar water (2:1 ratio for spring) and checking the candy board to see if we need to replenish it. Plus getting our equipment cleaned and painted. Sooooo much to do, sooo little time!

Do you have an interest in beekeeping or just like to learn? Join us, Tuesday, February 11 and find out what the buzz is about! Our meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month.
