NEWKIRK — A bond revocation hearing was held Thursday afternoon at Kay County District Court for Gary Martin Young, former Peckham School Superintendent.
A motion was filed in January to revoke his bond after officials were notified that he violated the conditions of his house arrest when video evidence emerged allegedly showing Young shopping at the Blackwell Walmart on Dec. 22, 2019, and Jan. 6, 2020.
It was determined by the state that the subject seen on the video surveillance was his brother, David Young, on both occurrences.
Assistant District Attorney Tom Lane spoke on behalf of the state and withdrew their motion to revoke his bond.
Judge Jennifer Brock ordered Young to return for his next court date and he remains free with an ankle monitor in place.
Young is scheduled for a status docket on April 3, 2020.
