Born Sept. 21, 1939, to Dean Hanning and Ival Aleta Hanning of Perkins, Patty Sue Hanning-Plummer went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. She passed at home in Fairfax where she lived with her daughter Robin and family for the last year and a half due to weakening health. She was 79.

Patty’s childhood years were spent in Shidler. Growing up, she made many lifelong friends, attended school there and graduated from Shidler High School.

She devoted her life to her six children and their families. Along the way, she became “Pat” to most of us, “Grandma Pat” when her grandchildren came along, and “GG” as she was called by her great-grandchildren. She was an amazing daughter, mom, grandmother and friend who was always there to take care of the family in her life. We were blessed to have her.

Pat’s work outside of the home, included assisting Hospice patients in Fairfax. She will be remembered as a king and compassionate caregiver.

Most of all she loved and adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family, her church and helping others.

In addition to her daughter Robin and husband Ronnie Smith, Pat is survived by two sons, Ric and wife Ann Jones and James Jones; awesome grandchildren Heather Turner, Natalie Stevens, Abigale Stevens, Darrell Gregory, David Gregory, Bo Gregory, Elaine Smith, Nick Smith, April Smith, Anthony Smith, Nic Jones, Michael Jones, Levi Jones, Bre Jones, Abby Stevens, Bethany Stevens, Hanna Stevens, Bryan Paul and Brandon Paul; as well as many great-grandchildren.

Family members Pat is joining in Heaven are her parents, grandparents, uncles and three sons: Albert D. Stevens, L.D. Jones Jr., and Ronald G. Stevens.

A memorial celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Saturday, March 16 at 2 p.m. at the New Hope Christian Fellowship Church, 161 North Fifth Street, Fairfax. Pastor Charles Ritchie and son-in-law Pastor Ronnie Smith will be officiating.

Anyone wishing to send flowers may have them delivered to the church starting Friday or in lieu of flowers, monetary donations in Pat’s name may be sent to New Hope, P.O. Box 178, Fairfax, Okla. 74637-0178 or the charity of your choice.

Thanks to all who helped with her care, for the prayers and continued prayer.

Pat was a wonderful woman that was loved, will be missed by many and will always be cherished.
