Milton Dale Harris, age 75, of Howes Mill, Mo., passed away July 7, 2017, at home. Dale was born July 2, 1942, in Walters, Okla., son of Milton Harris and Venita Estep Harris. Dale attended school in Ponca City, Class of 1960. He was united in marriage to Linda Jean Jones, Nov. 18, 1961, at Sunset Baptist Church, Ponca City. Dale served in the U.S. Army 1959-1964 with tours in Korea and Germany. Dale was a member of Church of Christ. Dale was a lifetime member of VFW. Working overseas in Saudi Arabia provided extensive traveling. Retired to Salem, Mo., in 1988. His interests included golfing, fishing, camping and family time.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Richard Pierce Harris (Stevens).
He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Richard Harris and wife, Sheila, of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; daughter, Julie Ince and husband, Mark Perry, of Rolla, Mo.; brother, Warren Harris and wife, Sandi, of Indian Trail, N.C.; sister, Pamela Hartman, and husband, David, of Stillwater; grandchildren, David Ince and wife, Lacey, of LaPorte, Texas, Christopher Ince of LaPorte, Texas, Dennis Harris Stevens of East Hampstead, N.H., Nicole Harris, Samantha Harris and Michael Harris of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; and one great-grandson, DJ Ince of LaPorte, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., July 29, at Sunset Memorial Park, Ponca City, officiated by Rev. Michael Harris, followed by a luncheon at American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Three Rivers Hospice.
