Marjorie Ann Brown, 83, was born in Cameron, TX to the late Walter A. Henrichsen and Darlie Davis Henrichsen. She died on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at home in Cleveland, TN. She received her Bachelors of Education from Pan American University where she met her husband, Douglas Brown.
They were married in 1957. She taught elementary school in south Texas, and had three children before they moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma. They were involved with Central Baptist church where Marjorie lead women’s Bible study groups through the church.
After the children had graduated from school she went to work for Conoco, in the Employee Benefits department.
In retirement, Marjorie and Doug moved to Cleveland, TN and became heavily involved in missions at Shenandoah Baptist Church. Marjorie and Doug enjoyed supporting foreign mission work for many years. They found a lot of fulfillment in opening up their home to host missionary families whenever they were in town. Marjorie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Walter Henrichsen, Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 61 years, Douglas Eric Brown; children, Stephan Douglas Brown (Mona), Sharon Leigh Harbeson (Jerry), and Stuart Eric Brown (Kimberly); grandchildren, Adam Wood, Jordan Brown, Tyler Brown, Lauren Brown Jurajda, Jessica Harbeson Jones, Rachel Brown Torbett, Mariah Brown Burrell; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Madalyn and Barrett Wood, Rhylan, Lyndon, and Benson Jurajda, Finnley and Magnolia Torbett, Hayes Jones, and extended family.
A celebration of life service was held at Shenandoah Baptist Church.
