Larry Neal Phillips, 71, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018, in Edmond. He was born Aug. 19, 1946, in Tulsa, the son of Harlen and Viola Brown Phillips.
Larry graduated from Coyle High School where he met his wife, Francene. They were married May 5, 1967, in Coyle. They were blessed with a son and daughter. They lived in Ponca City for 27 years where Larry, a civil engineer, was employed as a land surveyor. They then moved to Guthrie in 1995 where they were semi-retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlen Phillips and Viola and Alvin Moorman; his brother, James Phillips; his wife, Francene and daughter, Lori Foglesong.
He leaves behind his son, Kristen Phillips; sisters, Norma Arnett, Laurada Franks and Leisa Thornsbrough; a grandson, Brandon Foglesong; a granddaughter, Mikah Phillips and nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, at Smith Memorial Chapel, Guthrie, with Mark Berry associate pastor of Eastern Heights Christian Church of Ponca City officiating. Service is under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
There will be no visitation.
