Hazel Fern Beckham, age 89, formerly of Blackwell, resident of Mustang, Okla., died Aug. 1, 2018.
A service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3, at the Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Perry.
Fern was born on Sept. 30, 1928 to John Franklin Beckham and Nettie Mae Olmstead Beckham in Blackwell. She was an artist and was well known for her charcoal work entitled “Compassionate Christ”.
Fern also contributed artwork for Blackwell’s Centennial Celebration, a seal which is still on display at the Top of Oklahoma Museum.
Survivors include her nephew, Gregory Beckham and wife Lisa, of Caledonia, Miss.; niece, Diann Beckham, of Burley, Idaho; great-niece, Amory Beckham Jones, of Wichita Falls, Texas and sister-in-law, Joan Domme, of The Villages, Fla.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, J.C. Beckham and Leon Beckham; as well as her nephew, Jeffrey Beckham.
