George Edward Russell was born to Edward and Carol Russell on May 12, 1967, in Baltimore, Maryland. George went home on March 15, 2019, to be with his Heavenly Father.
He was a longtime resident of Ponca City before moving to Houston, Texas at the age of 13 with his father and mother. He graduated from Houston C.E. King High School in 1985. He went to work for Conoco Pipeline as a pipeline operator in 1990. In 2010 George took a job with Sonoco Logistics as a pipeline operator in Reading, Pennsylvania. He ended up relocating to Houston.
George’s hobbies included collecting baseball cards, hot wheels, and Die cast cars. He also loved to put Star Wars legos together and coming back to Ponca City to see his friends and family. Annually he would attend the NHRA races in Texas as well as other races around the Ponca City area. He loved being an uncle and was greatly loved by his niece, nephew and great nephews.
He is survived by his brother William Russell and wife Cindy, his sister Kathy Bush as well as nieces and nephews and cousins. George is preceded in death by his father (Ed Russell) and mother (Carol Russell), his brother (Larry) and sister (Denise), nephew (Scott( and his brother-in-law (Keith).
