WELLINGTON, Kan. — Let it be joyfully known that Brenda Sue Spencer Purdy finished her labors for a kingdom of love, glorified the Father while on earth and entered into eternal life on Jan. 2, 2018.
Brenda was the mother of Terri Campbell (Alan) of Wellington, Barry Purdy (Sondra) and Brad Purdy of Ponca City; grandmother of Sandy Willard (Noah), Dale Purdy (Kayla), Leah Stewart (Cooper), Austin Campbell (Bridget), Megan Campbell, Brandon Purdy, and Abbie Purdy; great-grandmother to Kyntli, Crew and Kambelle Willard, Emma Stewart, Keegan and Kennedy Purdy. She was the sister of Becky Davis of Ponca City, and Bill Spencer of Ada.
We, her family and friends, will come together on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Wellington, Kan., to mourn because we are human and to rejoice because we are Christian, and to thank God for the gift of Brenda’s life, and to celebrate the power of Jesus’ Resurrection because we are Easter people in life and in death.
Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church children’s ministry.
