Alma Dean Pope Cline, longtime Ponca City resident, passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 19, 2018, in Oklahoma City. She was 88 years of age. She was born Oct. 27, 1929, in Webb City. Alma was the daughter of Celia and Frank Pope.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, in the Grace Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dennis Widman officiating. Interment will follow in the Newkirk Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City. Casket bearers will be Matthew Spore, David Butler, Logan Krenn, Adam Hobbs, Jace Hall, Shawn Buller.
Alma was married to Ivo Otis Horton in 1946. She was later married to Harold S. Cline Jr. Alma enjoyed crocheting, reading, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include: one son, Michael Horton and wife, Pat, of Derby, Kan.; one daughter, Lisa Butler and husband, Alan, of Coppell, Texas; one sister, Melba Jean Crofford of Amarillo. Texas; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Also surviving is numerous nieces and nephews.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rodney Gene Horton; one daughter, Linda Kay Spore; and one brother, S.T. Pope.
