Ponca City police are seeking information about a fire set on purpose in the men's bathroom at the Wally Smith Tennis Center located at 718 North Seventh Street, just south of Hutchins Memorial Auditorium.

The fire was discovered on Tuesday Feb. 23 just after 2 p.m.

The fire appears as if it was started with burning the plastic like mirror and then traveled down the wall to the sinks. Fixtures within the bathroom were ruined by the fire and extensive smoke damage.

Police Seek Information on Burglary

Galaxy Mattress, located at 2501 North 14th in Ponca City, was burglarized the last weekend in February. The store was secured just before 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27. The manager returning on Sunday evening just before 6 p.m. discovered the business had been forcibly entered and the office area in disarray. A small amount of cash was taken.
