Fire Run — A Solid Waste Department driver reported at 7:11 a.m. Thursday that his trash truck was on fire in the 2300 block of North Ash Street. Ponca City Fire Department responded and found the fire was in trash on the roadway.

Theft Reported — A resident of the 2100 block of North Fourteenth Street reported at 2:44 p.m. Thursday she had given someone a ride and money was stolen out of her vehicle. Ponca City Police took a report.

Juvenile Arrested — Ponca City Police arrested a 17-year-old girl in the 2100 block of North Fourteenth Street at 3:35 p.m. Thursday on a complaint of petit larceny. The juvenile was released on a promise to appear in court.

Theft Reported — Two males were arrested in the 1100 block of East Prospect at 11:23 a.m. Thursday. A 17-year-old boy was arrested on complaints of petit larceny, destruction of private property and minor in possession of tobacco. A 22-year-old man was arrested on complaints of petit larceny and destruction of private property. The juvenile was released to a parent on a promise to appear in court.

Fraud — A resident of the 100 block of Warwick reported debit card fraud at 11:39 a.m. Thursday at the Police Department. Ponca City Police took information for a report.

Injured Person — Ponca City Police took a report on a 17-year-old boy who was assaulted at Pioneer Technology Center at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. The boy was treated at the Ponca City Medical Center emergency room.

Juvenile Arrested — Ponca City Police arrested a 12-year-old boy at West Middle School at 12:32 p.m. Thursday on a complaint of possession of a weapon at school. He was later transported to an address on South Tenth Street and released on a promise to appear in court.

Runaway Gurney — A motorist reported at 8:10 p.m. Thursday that a gurney rolled out of a Tonkawa ambulance at the Ponca City Medical Center and hit his car. The ambulance service agreed to pay for the damage. No report was taken by police.

Vandalism Reported — A resident of the 800 block of Gray reported at 12:51 a.m. Friday that she returned home after being out for an hour and found both of her parents' vehicles spray painted with black paint. Ponca City Police took information for a vandalism report.

Man Arrested — Ponca City Police contacted a 32-year-old man in the 400 block of South Fourth Street at 8:24 p.m. Thursday. An officer had gone to the residence after the man's ex-wife said he had texted her threatening suicide. The man admitted he had sent the messages to get her attention. The officer then advised he needed other units to respond. The man was arrested on complaints of assault and battery on an officer and assault with a dangerous weapon on an officer.

Man Arrested — Ponca City Police arrested a 26-year-old man at First Street and Cleveland Avenue at 10:46 p.m. Thursday on a Kay County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to pay a fine for no insurance verification.
