Program Cancellation The program this Wednesday on "Keeping Good Mental Health During the Holidays" at Newkirk Senior Center with Dr. Bill Hamilton as speaker and sponsored by the Kay County Retired Senior Volunteer Program has been canceled. It will be rescheduled at a later time.

Two Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 49-year-old man in the 1800 block of Holbrook at 7:03 a.m. Saturday on a complaint of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon. A 35-year-old man was arrested on city warrants for failure to pay fines for speeding and driving under suspension and a complaint of domestic assault and battery.

Hit and Run A resident of the 1100 block of North Oak Street reported at 7:23 a.m. Saturday that there was damage to a fence from a hit-and-run accident that occurred overnight. An officer was assigned and found significant damage to the fence and also to a pipe barricade and a sign at Liberty School. The officer took a report and spoke with some neighbors who said they heard something around 3 a.m., but didn't look outside. The officer reported he located a car in the 900 block of North Oak with front end damage matching the damage exactly.

Burglary Investigation A woman at residence at which an estate sale was scheduled Saturday contacted Ponca City Police at 9:16 a.m. to report a burglary. A box of jewelry and a cell phone were reported taken. Ponca City Police took a report and lifted a fingerprint from the residence.

Burglary Investigation A resident of the 600 block of South Thirteenth Street reported at 9:26 a.m. Saturday that the door of the residence was kicked in and the dog had been beaten. Ponca City Police took a report on second-degree burglary. The officer advised the dog probably bit the person who entered the residence. The emergency room was advised to report if someone came in with a dog bite.

Theft Reported A resident of the 200 block of South Pine reported the theft of a trampoline at 1:02 p.m. Sunday. Ponca City Police took a report.
Man Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 30-year-old man in the 700 block of North Lake Street at 3:47 p.m. Saturday on a Kay County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to pay a fine for child desertion. Officers were called to the address to take a report on a boy who was hit by his father.
Accident Report Ponca City Police took a report on an accident in the 700 block of North Fourteenth Street at 11:50 a.m. Sunday. Two people with minor injuries went to Ponca City Medical Center by private vehicle.

Juvenile Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 17-year-old boy in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue at 2:57 p.m. Sunday on a complaint of possession of stolen property. He was released to a parent on a promise to appear in court.
Burglary Investigation A resident of the 500 block of North Ash Street reported at 9:32 a.m. Saturday that someone tried to break into her vehicle overnight. An officer spoke with the resident who said an intoxicated person got into her vehicle but nothing was disturbed or taken. She requested extra patrol.
Vandalism Reported A resident of the 400 block of Wren reported at 9:44 a.m. Saturday that the tires were slashed on a vehicle. Ponca City Police took a report.
Vehicle Stolen A resident of the 1100 block of South Seventh Street reported at 10:11 a.m. Saturday that his vehicle was stolen during the night. He told police he last saw the vehicle at about 11 p.m. Friday. An Otoe-Missouria officer was advised of the call and had tried to located the man because items were found in their area. Pawnee County advised they had found the vehicle and the deputy was given the man's telephone number. At 5:38 p.m. the man called Ponca City Police to report that when he got the vehicle, the motor was blown. An officer took a report.
Accident Report Ponca City Police took a report from a driver who called to say she ran over a pole on the playground at Woodlands School at 11:35 a.m. Saturday.
Item Recovered A resident of the 200 block of East Central reported at 11:42 a.m. Saturday that a refrigerator that was stolen out of a travel trailer in the 200 block of South Elm Street a month ago was located. It was returned and Ponca City Police took information for a follow-up report.
Fire Run The Ponca City Fire Department responded to a leaking gas meter in the 700 block of North Seventh Street at 11:44 a.m. Saturday. ONG was advised.
Accident Report Ponca City Police took information for a report on an accident in the 1100 block of East Prospect Avenue at 1:11 p.m. Saturday.
Warrant Request Ponca City Police took information for a warrant request on a protective order violation in the 1100 block of East Prospect at 1:54 p.m. Saturday.
Vehicle Marked Ponca City Police marked a vehicle at 3:24 p.m. Saturday at Hazel Avenue and Twelfth Street to be towed if it is not moved in 48 hours.
Burglary Investigation Ponca City Police took information for a report on a residential burglary in the 700 block of West Central Avenue at 4:48 p.m. Saturday.
Trespass A caretaker for a property in the 1500 block of Shirlee reported subjects at the house at 5:11 p.m. Saturday that should not be there. Officers contacted the subjects who had a signed lease for the house and they were cleaning it up, getting ready to move in. The caretaker called and said there was a disagreement between the married property owners over letting the subjects live in the house. The officer advised it is a civil matter.
Fight Reported Ponca City Police responded to a call reporting a fight in the 2200 block of North Fourteenth Street at 2:58 p.m. Sunday. Officers solved the problem and the problem male left.
Man Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 37-year-old man at Fifth Street and Hartford Avenue at 4:37 p.m. Sunday on complaints of speeding, driving under suspension and no insurance.
Suspicious Person A resident of the 1900 block of Pecan Road reported a man wearing a white T-shirt and black pants going from car to car in his neighborhood at 8:17 p.m. Saturday. Officers were assigned but were unable to locate the man in the area.
Juveniles Moved On Ponca City Police responded to an abandoned farmhouse in the 2200 block of North Pecan Road at 9:57 p.m. Saturday. A large group of juveniles was interviewed and moved on.
Extra Patrol A resident of the 700 block of East Albany requested extra patrol at 10:05 p.m. Saturday after her 15-year-old son ran someone out of the garage.
Woman Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 27-year-old woman on complaints of public intoxication and obstruction at 10:20 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of North First Street. Officers were called to the address because of a fight and an injured man lying in the parking lot, not moving. The man was taken by Ponca City Fire Department ambulance to Ponca City Medical Center. At 3:50 a.m. Sunday the hospital requested assistance from police for the uncooperative male patient. An officer contacted Adult Protective Services and Judge Ross ordered the man to be detained for observation.
Domestic Ponca City Police took a report on a domestic assault in the 3500 block of B Street at 10:46 p.m. Saturday. The woman victim said a man threw her down before he left.
Homeowner Cited Ponca City Police issued a citation to a homeowner for minor in possession at Broadway Avenue and Eighth Street at 10:56 p.m. Saturday.
Theft Reported A convenience store in the 300 block of West Grand Avenue reported the theft of beer at 11:20 p.m. Saturday. Ponca City Police took a report.
Vandalism Reported Ponca City Police were called to the 100 block of North Ash Street at 12:03 a.m. Sunday for a domestic between a man and a woman in the alley behind the 900 block of West Grand Avenue. Officers took a report on vandalism to a residence and a vehicle. A group of juveniles in the alley ran from officers. Two boys were taken to an address in the 700 block of East Albany and released to a parent on a promise to appear in court on a curfew violation.
Stabbing Reported Ponca City Fire Department ambulance transported a stabbing victim with serious injuries from the 3000 block of East Prospect Avenue to Ponca City Medical Center at 12:55 a.m. Sunday. An employee at a bar at the address called officers to report a man with a shaved head going through vehicles. A 33-year-old man was arrested on a complaint of public intoxication. A 26-year-old man was arrested on a complaint of public intoxication and assault with a deadly weapon. A 16-year-old boy was arrested on a complaint of public intoxication. Officers took a report on a second stabbing victim at 5:13 a.m. Sunday.
Theft Reported A resident of the 300 block of South Franklin Street reported at 6:12 p.m. Sunday that a woman stole some money from him and was still at the residence. He said he has known the woman for over a week and has loaned her a good amount of money he wants back. An officer took a report on a larceny from a residence.
Theft Reported A resident of the 300 block of West Hartford Avenue reported a stolen briefcase at 6:29 p.m. Sunday. Ponca City Police took a report.
Man Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 21-year-old man at the Police Department on local warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of speeding and no insurance.
Attempt To Locate Ponca City Police were asked at 10:20 p.m. Sunday to attempt to locate a 14-year-old boy who ran away in Stillwater. He was described as six feet, three inches tall, weighing 195 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his chest which says "Only God can judge me." All officers were advised.
