Raccoon Bite — Ponca City Police requested Animal Control at the Motocross track in the 1000 block of West Prospect Avenue at 7:12 a.m. Wednesday for a subject who was bitten by a raccoon. The victim was advised to get medical assistance as soon as possible. The animal was confined in a box until it was picked up.

Burglary Investigation — A woman reported at 7:59 a.m. Wednesday that someone broke the window on her vehicle in the 600 block of South First Street and stole her purse. Ponca City Police took a report.

Extra Patrol — The manager of an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Princeton reported at 8:29 a.m. Wednesday that several vehicles were ransacked during the night and requested extra patrol from Ponca City Police.

Burglary Investigation — A resident of the 1000 block of North Second Street reported at 8:38 a.m. Wednesday that his vehicle was broken into during the night and knives and baseball bats were taken. Ponca City Police took a report.

Theft Reported — A man reported at 4:43 p.m. Wednesday that his son's cell phone was stolen from his bag at Wentz Pool. Ponca City Police took a report.

Dog Bite — Animal Control requested the Ponca City Police escort a dog bite victim from last week to an address to identify the dog that bit him at 9:33 a.m. Wednesday. The victim, a 14-year-old boy, was bit by a pit bull in the 300 block of West Hartford Avenue at 5:24 p.m. July 21. If the dog was not located, the boy was going to have to start a series of rabies shots. At 10:42 a.m., the animal was identified and impounded.

Burglary Investigation — A man asked Ponca City Police to contact him at 10:28 a.m. Wednesday at the Motocross track about his vehicle being burglarized in the 3100 block of North Fourteenth Street. Ponca City Police took a report.

Man Arrested — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested a 28-year-old man on city warrants and transported him to the Ponca City jail at 5:52 p.m. Wednesday.

Burglary Investigation — A resident of the 1500 block of East Bradley Avenue reported at 10:51 a.m. Wednesday that her vehicle was broken into during the night at a speaker box and amp were taken. Ponca City Police took a report.

Man Arrested — Ponca City Police arrested a 22-year-old man at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday at Broughton and Prospect Avenue on local warrants for failure to pay fines for a second offense of driving under revocation; failure to pay a fine for no seat belt; failure to pay a fine for an illegal left turn and complaints of driving under suspension, display of a suspended driver's license, no seat belt and defective equipment.

Two Arrested — Ponca City Police arrested a 24-year-old man at Prospect Avenue and L.A. Cann Drive at 5:13 p.m. Wednesday on a complaint of public intoxication. A 16-year-old boy also was arrested on a complaint of public intoxication.

Theft Reported — A store in the 200 block of South Third Street reported at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday that shelving units were taken from behind the business. Ponca City Police took a report for petit larceny.

Man Arrested — Ponca City Police arrested a 49-year-old man in the 800 block of South Sixth Street at 12:27 p.m. Wednesday on complaints of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon and interrupting an emergency call.

Accident Report — Ponca City Police took a report on an accident in the 2100 block of North Fourteenth Street at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Boy Arrested — Ponca City Police arrested an 11-year-old boy at 11:18 a.m. Wednesday on a complaint of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A caller advised a black van was driving out of control southbound on Waverly Street from Liberty Avenue, then west on Highland Avenue. Another caller said the van left the roadway and almost ran over pedestrians on the sidewalk and was driving on rims. The vehicle was stopped on Highland just west of Waverly Street. Ponca City Police were assisted by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The boy's mother reported at 11:36 a.m. Wednesday that he stole her van from the 1600 block of Bradbary Lane and ran away. The Street Department was notified of a large amount of tread on Waverly. The boy was taken to jail and the Office of Juvenile Affairs was contacted. Later the boy was released to a parent on a promise to appear in court.

Juveniles Arrested — Ponca City Police arrested a 12-year-old boy in the 3100 block of North Fourteenth Street at 3:02 a.m. Thursday on a complaint of public intoxication and curfew violation. A 15-year-old boy was also arrested on a curfew violation and public intoxication. Both were released on promises to appear in court.

Warrant Request — Ponca City Police took information for a warrant request on domestic assault and battery in the 2200 block of North Fourteenth Street at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Molestation Report — Ponca City Police took information for a report of investigation on a molestation case at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Vandalism Reported — Ponca City Police took a report on vandalism to windows in the 2500 block of East Hartford at 3:22 a.m. Thursday.

Man Arrested — Ponca City Police arrested a 38-year-old man in the 800 block of South Eleventh Street at 4:24 p.m. Wednesday on a Kay County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to pay.

Vandalism Reported — A resident of the 500 block of East Brookfield reported her vehicle had been vandalized at 10:26 p.m. Wednesday. Ponca City Police took a report.

Burglary Investigation — Ponca City Police took a report on a residential burglary in the 400 block of South Ash Street at 10:26 p.m. Wednesday.

Warrant Request — Ponca City Police took a warrant request for domestic assault and battery in the 200 block of North Fifth Street at midnight Wednesday and provided extra patrol because of threats made against the resident.

Theft Reported — A convenience store in the 300 block of West Grand Avenue reported the theft of beer at 12:42 a.m. Thursday. Ponca City Police took a report.

Woman Arrested — Ponca City Police arrested a 21-year-old woman in the 2600 block of North Fourteenth Street at 2:24 a.m. Thursday on complaints of no driver's license, no insurance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance — cocaine base.
