Warrant Arrest Arkansas City Police contacted Newkirk police at 8:21 a.m. Thursday and requested they check a residence across from the Newkirk Dollar General for a wanted person. The subject was located and arrested.
Tip Taker The Kay County Sheriff's Department received a report at 3:55 p.m. Thursday that a woman applied for a job at the Dixie Dog. While filling out an application the woman stole tips from a waitress. A report was taken.
Smoke Damage A woman contacted the Kay County Sheriff's Department at 6:04 p.m. Thursday and reported her neighbors conducted a controlled burn in the 1600 block of West Cowboy Road and the smoke filled her house and damaged it. A deputy contacted the neighbors.
Vehicle Marked Ponca City Police marked a blue van at 7:53 a.m. Thursday on Hazel Avenue near Seventh Street to be towed in 48 hours.
Parking Problem A resident reported a cattle truck parked in the 1900 block of North Sixth Street facing the wrong direction at 8:23 a.m. Thursday. The caller said it was an ongoing problem that created a traffic hazard. A Ponca City Police officer left a message on the trucker's cell phone to move the vehicle as soon as possible.
Animal Call A motorist reported sheep blocking the northbound lanes on U.S. 177 south of Fountain Road at 8:42 a.m. Thursday. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was advised.
Traffic Hazard A motorist reported two boys about 7 years old at the Y of Clark and Donahoe at 10:13 a.m. Thursday watching traffic and not moving for cars. A Ponca City Police officer investigated and spoke to the mother, who handled the matter.
Woman Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 19-year-old woman in the 600 block of North Osage Street at 11:02 a.m. Thursday on a city warrant for failure to pay a fine for public intoxication.
Offices Blocked A group of juveniles on dirt bikes caused a traffic jam at the entrances to city offices in the 1000 block of West Prospect Avenue at 11:07 a.m. Thursday. An officer on the scene handled it. A second call reported juveniles on stockpiles of road materials throwing rocks. The officer also handled that complaint. At 11:54 p.m., the Police Department received continuing complaints about the juveniles from city employees. Extra patrol was requested.
Parking Problem A caller reported a large truck blocking the driveway of a vacant lot for two days at 11:31 a.m. Thursday. An officer contacted the truck owner and had the truck moved.
Man Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a man in the 300 block of South Elm Street at 11:41 a.m. Thursday on a city warrant for failure to appear in court on a traffic charge.
Reckless Riders Ponca City Police received a complaint at 12:48 p.m. Thursday about juveniles in the area of Flormable Street and Highland Avenue playing chicken with vehicles. Another call was made at 1:19 p.m. and an officer contacted juveniles and moved them on.
Welfare Check Ponca City Police were asked to check the welfare of two small children at Oak Street and Grand Avenue at 2:19 p.m. Thursday. An officer took the children to an address in the 200 block of North Elm Street. They had been walking to a store with older kids and were separated on the way. Their family had been looking for them.
Disturbance A caller reported people playing loud music and playing basketball in the street in the 300 block of South Osage Street at 2:24 p.m. Thursday. The subjects said they were not playing loud music and said they would get out of the way of vehicles.
Man Arrested Ponca City Police arrested an 18-year-old man at 2:31 p.m. Thursday from Municipal Court.
Injury Accident Ponca City Fire Department ambulance responded to a car-motorcycle collision in the 1500 block of East Hubbard Road at 3:18 p.m. Thursday and transported the motorcyclist to Ponca City Medical Center. Ponca City Police took information for a report and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol was advised.

Theft Reported The manager of a drive-in in the 900 block of South Fourteenth Street reported at 3:58 p.m. Thursday that tips had been stolen. The caller was transferred to the Kay County Sheriff's Office. Officers checked the area for subjects. Two females had dropped off a job application. Police were given a description of the two.

Man Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 25-year-old man at Pine Street and South Avenue at 4:16 p.m. Thursday on a Kay County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to pay.

Juvenile Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 17-year-old boy at Elm Street and Hazel Avenue at 4:50 p.m. Thursday on a complaint of possession of an offensive weapon. The juvenile was released on a promise to appear in court.

Warrant Request A woman filed a report at 5:41 p.m. Thursday for an assault that occurred Wednesday in the 3500 block of North Union. Ponca City Police took information for a warrant request.

Man Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 52-year-old man in the 500 block of North Palm Street at 5:46 p.m. Thursday on two complaints of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon. A woman at the residence said her boyfriend was causing problems with her children's father and hitting people with a broom. Ponca City Police took information for a report.
Citations Issued Ponca City Police issued citations to the occupants of a van carrying an open container of alcohol at Tenth Street and South Avenue at 7:01 p.m. Thursday.
Trespass Warning A resident of the 300 block of South Osage Street reported two men in a white van were causing a disturbance in the alley at 6:31 p.m. Thursday. The men then called 911 and said the resident had drugs at the address. Officers were assigned and found it was exes who were feuding. The resident asked that a trespass warning be issued to the men.

Vandalism Reported A woman at Acoma and Woodlands contacted Ponca City Police at 9:52 p.m. Thursday to report three children with gray paint all over them had walked by. She asked them where it came from and they said it was on a slide at Redbud Park. She called hoping someone would get it cleaned up before it dried. Officers responded and it appeared the children vandalized the equipment with silver paint, getting handprints on most of the equipment. It looked like some kind of roofing material. The children and their parents were contacted and the parents offered to clean up the mess.
Two Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a 33-year-old man on a complaint of public intoxication in the 900 block of North First Street at 7:01 p.m. A 34-year-old man was also arrested on a complaint of public intoxication. An officer advised it was a push and shove between subjects after one of the men reported he found his stolen weight bench at the residence.

Man Arrested Ponca City Police arrested a man in the 800 block of South Eleventh Street at 7:40 p.m. Thursday on Kay County Sheriff's Office warrants for failure to pay and an application to revoke a suspended sentence for aggravated driving under the influence.

Burglary Investigation Ponca City Police took a report at 10:01 p.m. Thursday on a burglary in the 300 block of South Washington in which prescription medications were stolen.
