Court Dates Established For Trio in Drug Case |

NEWKIRK Court dates have been set for three people arrested on drug charges following a tip that methamphetamine was being produced at a residence on North Olympia Street.
A status docket is set for Joshua McClendon, 33, Ponca City, in Kay County District Court on April 16.
McClendon was arrested by Ponca City police on Feb. 5 at 1308 Princeton Avenue and later charged with felony counts of possession of precursors with intent to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance; falsely personate another to create liability; failure to registered as a sex offender and obtaining a CDS by forgery.
According to the affidavit, the Special Projects Unit received information from the Osage County Drug Task Force that drugs may be manufactured at 212 N. Olympia Street in Ponca City.
The residence was placed under surveillance.
A vehicle was observed leaving the residence and followed.
McClendon was a passenger in the vehicle.
It was determined that McClendon was wanted by Pawnee County.
A search warrant was issued for the residence on Olympia.
Officials found several items associated with making methamphetamine including batteries; pseudoephedrine boxes and blister packs and empty propane tanks.
Police report that McClendon later admitted to purchasing pseudophedrine knowing it was going to be utilized to cook meth.
Also arrested was 18-year-old Tiffany Rose Cross, Ponca City.
Cross is charged with felony counts of possession of precursors to manufacture a CDS and obtaining a controlled substance by forgery.
Paula Sue Collins, 39, Ponca City, was also arrested.
Collins is charged with felony counts of possession of precursors to manufacture a CDS and obtaining a controlled substance by forgery.
Both Cross and Collins are set to appear on an attorney status review dockets on March 4.
Bond for all three is set at $100,000.
