Carter was arrested in July 2008 by Ponca City police and later charged with a felony count of domestic assault and battery by strangulation.

He pleaded guilty to the charge on Nov. 13, 2008 and was sentenced to a three year suspended sentence in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and fined.

On April 9, he failed to pay as ordered and a warrant with bond endorsed at $300 was issued.
