Close friends and family will honor Dwight and Helen Beck with a reception 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Family Life Center of Eastern Heights Christian Church. The occasion is the couple's 50th wedding anniversary. An open invitation is extended to friends to attend the event, and the couple requests that there be no gifts.

Dwight Beck and Helen Ludwig were united in marriage at Asbury Methodist Church on May 9, 1958. Officiating was the Rev. Bill Henry, now of Oklahoma City. Mr. Beck is retired from Conoco and is a fulltime farmer. Mrs. Beck is a retired Registered Nurse and a fulltime farm wife.

The couple's family included three sons and nine grandchildren: Dwight B. Beck II and wife, Chris Buttram Beck, of Broken Arrow, have two daughters, Dana Kathryn and Jimikaye; David B. Beck and wife, Cindy Collison, of the Bressie Community, have four children, Adam and Andrew, Ashley and husband Bill Miner and daughters Breanna and Bailey, Amy and husband Cameron Hurd; Douglas Beck and his wife, Sue Graham Beck of Kansas City, have three children, Allison, Jeffrey and Hannah.
