Betty Myers and James E. Whitfield of Ponca City were united in marriage March 15, 2008, in a ceremony in Eureka Springs, Ark.

Mr. Whitfield has two children: William Whitfield of Bartlesville, and Naomi Melichar of Marland; two grandchildren: Jared Padgett and Andrea Burris of Ponca City, and three great-grandchildren.
