Burley, who runs for Cowley College in Arkansas City, Kan., finished 21st with a time of 19:07. The Cowley team finished fourth overall, equalling the school's previous best finish of fourth in 2006.

Burley, a sophomore, ran the sixth best time in Cowley cross country history.

She will compete Saturday at the NJCAA Half-Marathon Classic in Overland Park, Kan.
