New Ambucs Chapter Charters With 57 Members in Ponca City

Charter ceremonies were recently held for Ponca City's newest Ambuc club, the Ponca City Charity Angels. This new club chartered with 57 members. The event was held at Zino's Italian Restaurant on April 11.

Special guests included State Rep. Ken Luttrell; Mayor Homer Nicholson; Anna Blubaugh, National Ambuc president elect; Linda Mask, National Big Hat vice president; Gary Miles, National Big Hat secretary; Leonard Epperson, past national president; Tom Fender, District 5C governor and past national president; Kent Clingenpeel, Great Plains regional director; and Rick Kerr, regional director elect.

Clingenpeel gave the charter address and presented the charter to Natalie Fraser, president for the Charity Angels. Charter officers were then installed, which include Fraser, president; Brook Lindsay, first vice president; Ginger Scott, second vice president; Sarah Troutman, secretary; and Ashley Rumford, treasurer.

Charter members include Carol Andrews, Tifani Andrews, Julie Arnswald, Crystal Backhaus, Ashley Campbell, Heather Cannon, Carrie Coats, Lydia Connelly, Kimberly Cotton, Amy Cox, Timilyn Crank, Kathleen Dewitz, Vickie Epperson, Melissa Fields, Kari Flores, Natalie Fraser, Mandi Grimes, Jenney Hansen, Robin Hayes, Laura Hellem, Kimberly Hess, Nikki Hodgsen, Lori Hutchins, Tonya Hutson, Michele Jean, Christine Kubik, Jami Layman, Erin Liberton, Brook Lindsay, Sonja Long, Brenda Luttrell, Traci McKee, Alvie Miles, Ellen Morris, Carla O'Neil, Stacy Orange, Tara Perez, Ashley Rumford, Stephanie Sattre, Lesley Schieber, Sarah Scholey, Ginger Scott, Dione Smith, Kay Smith, Mary Sober, Ann Steichen, Joy Stingley, Wendy Stobbe, Kathrin Stucki, Sarah Troutman, Nancy Tyndall, Casey VanHoesen, Robbie Waller, Kenda Ward, Bonnie Wetzel, Melissa Wilson and Rachel Wright.

The Charity Angel Ambucs club was sponsored by the PC Noon Ambucs, whose members are seeking to advance the goals of the organization by founding a new club. The building team consisted of Winston Lindsay, president of Noon Ambucs; Tom Fender, sparkplug; Gary Miles; Leonard Epperson; and Jerome Orange.

Ambucs is a charitable service organization consisting of a diverse group of men and women dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities. It's a fun way to serve.

The Charity Angel Ambucs meet twice a month. To accommodate the schedules of the members, meetings are held at 1 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month at Ponca City Country Club and 6 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at El Patio.
