Noble County Members Attend OHCE Event |

Kay, Logan and Noble counties hosted the Northwest District Oklahoma Home and Community Education meeting on April 5, at the senior high school in Ponca City. The event brought together counties from the Northwest District to participate in workshops and recognize achievements from the past year.
Catherine Robinson, a past Northwest District representative from Bliss Homemakers, called the meeting to order. Ms. Robinson's opening remarks included "District OHCE meetings are always a great time to congregate and reflect on the past year and get new ideas to implement into our county programs."
The Noble County delegates for district awards were: Cindy Carr for Heart of OHCE; Sharon Powell for Rookie Member and Janet Vincent for member. Carr received the NW District Heart of OHCE award and will represent Northwest District at the state OHCE Meeting July 13-15, at the Clarion Convention Center, Oklahoma City.
Betty Dillon, Ladies of '76, was acknowledged for two years of leadership as the current District Representative.
Displays included Noble County OHCE with Gardening Information provided by Noble County Master Gardeners and the OHCE Green Cookbook provided by Arleta Pulliam, Northwest District Cookbook Chairperson.
Debbie Mote and Cindy Carr, Oak Grove, presented the Scrapbooking workshop. Mary Deken and Nedra Will, Oak Grove, presented the Quick & Easy Decorating workshop.
The luncheon table favors of chicken pincushions were made by Noble County OHCE "chick" members.
Noble County members in attendance were Beverly Bay of Ladies of '76; Cindy Carr, Irene Clark, Mary Deken, Dorothy Fehring, Polly McCroskey, Debbie Mote, Sharon Powell, Janet Vincent and Nedra Will of Oak Grove; Sue Ginger, Soni Kodesh, Arleta Pulliam, Catherine Robinson and Patsy Smithheisler of Bliss Homemakers; Eloise Schultz of Town and Country.
The counties in the Northwest District are Alfalfa, Beaver, Blaine, Cimarron, Dewey, Ellis, Garfield, Grant, Harper, Kay, Kingfisher, Logan, Major, Noble, Texas, Woods and Woodward.
