Miriam Class Discusses Pet Characteristics |
|
Members of the Miriam Class at First Baptist Church met in the Williamsburg Parlor for their monthly meeting. Phyllis Wiles opened the meeting with prayer. Hostesses were Oweta Dagg and Ruthellen Summers.
Because it was "Pet Week" Linda Hughes, class teacher, discussed the difference between dog and cat attitudes. "The cat says, I am a captive and they taunt me with dangling objects; they eat fresh meat and I eat dry nuggets; when they have company I am placed in a cage; I torment my guards by weaving around their feet as they walk."
The dog says, "Each is my favorite thing: dog food, car ride, walk in the park, rubbed and petted, lunch, playing in the yard, wagging my tail, milk bones, playing ball, sleeping on the bed."
The next meeting will be May 19 in the church parlor. All members are urged to attend and bring a guest. Published Thu, May 8, 2008, On Page 5 a Copyright ©1998-2005 The Ponca City News |
