Pioneer Technology Center's Staff Hosts Spring Leadership Confe

Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) hosted the 21st Annual Spring Leadership Conference for Oklahoma's Association of Career and Technical Education (OkACTE) Support Staff Section this month.

Pioneer Tech's support staff coordinated the event and had record breaking attendance. Over 79 CareerTech system employees attended the leadership conference. These individuals represented 12 different technology centers from across the state, the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technical Education (OkACTE), and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (ODCTE).

Guest speakers included Mike Klemme, the Oklahoma Centennial photographer; Katherine Long, the Ponca City Development Authority's datamaster; Jan Matheson, Licensed Professional Counselor; and Linda Spore, Registered Massage Therapist.

Conference topics included Klemme's "Oklahoma Images," Long's "Utilizing Free Resources," Matheson's "Communication and Empowerment," and Spore's "Stress Reduction in the Workplace."

The attendees also experienced Pioneer Tech's new METS Skills Lab.
