THREE PEOPLE apparently escaped serious injury in a one-vehicle rollover accident three miles south of Ponca City about 5:45 p.m. Monday. The driver of a recently purchased Ford Explorer lost control of the vehicle while traveling northbound on U.S. 177 during an intense thunderstorm, crossed the center median and rolled it onto its side, coming to rest in the southbound lanes, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Justin Barney. Barney states the cause of the accident as driving too fast for weather conditions. Driver Floyd Roubedeaux, 30, of Ponca City, was transported by ambulance to Ponca City Medical Center where he was treated and released.
