Two change orders in the Ponca City Development Airport Industrial Park were approved at the May meeting of the Ponca City Development Authority.
Also approved was sending out a request for proposal for roofing of the hangar at the former Conoco Aviation Center 2501 North Waverly.
The change order for 30 ton of additional asphalt for the Sykes Boulevard was granted to Sooner Construction in the amount of $3.443.
The other change order was across Sykes at the Cookshack parking lot 30 ton of concrete. The original agenda had called for 30 ton of asphalt, but the documents correctly stated it was for concrete. The change order was for $2,000 to S and J Construction.
Trustee Lee Evans, abstained from the vote. Trustees voting for the measure were Mark Southard, chairman, Bob Gingerich, Joe DeNoya, Natalie Fraser, Nancy Rathbun and Steve Hermann.
David Myers, PCDA executive director, presented the preliminary budget for 2017-2018, which will come before the June meeting for approval.
A presentation was made at the beginning of the meeting on the winners of the Pitch Off Business project by winners Kelsy Wagner and her father Brad Fredrick representing KB Enterprises and Gatehands which involves an invention for closing side by side gates, overlapping and single side gates.
This popular local invention is gaining popularity across the nation.
The new local logo and backdrop for upcoming marketing programs was displayed in the Chamber board room. These photos features all Ponca Citians. Fraser, Rathbun and Lori Henderson have been working with Staple Gun Design of Oklahoma City on the marketing.
