Glen Eugene Keeler

Glen Eugene Keeler, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was 51 years old and known as Gene to his friends. Gene was born on Oct. 31, 1965, in Ponca City, the son of Noel Glen Keeler and Deanna Gale Jordan Keeler-Raulston.

He was a cowboy at heart growing up in the Osage where he was a member of the Braden 4-H. He attended school in Ponca City where he participated in FFA. In his youth he was a big fan of the rock group Kiss before finding country music and Garth Brooks. He loved watching rodeos, wrestling and his OU Football. He also enjoyed fishing and sitting around a campfire swapping stories with cousins and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Deanna Raulston; brother, Chris Keeler, of the home; his son, Derek Keeler and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves behind his beloved Australian Shepherd Rosco.

He was preceded in death by his father, Noel Keeler; his paternal grandparents, Glen and Mable Keeler and his maternal grandparents, Herman “Bud” and Mildred Jordan.

Cremation has been effected and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Osage Heights Baptist Church, 142 Tapp Rd.

I'm so sorry for your loss...h was much too young and Deanna, I understand your pain as a mother and Chris, I understand yours as a sibling. Losing those you hold dear is never easy, but those are two of the hardest. My heart and my prayers are with you. Praying peace for you.
